چکیده
We revisit the complex time method for application to quantum dynamics as an exceptional point is encircled in parameter space of Hamiltonian. The basic idea using contour integration perform first-order adiabatic perturbation integral. In this way, dynamical problem transformed a study singularities plane – transition points which represent degeneracies Hamiltonian time-dependent parameters defining encircling are analytically continued plane. As underlying illustration approach we discuss switch between Rabi oscillations and rapid passage occurs upon special time-symmetric case.

A space-time adaptive method for simulating complex cardiac dynamics.
For plane-wave and many-spiral states of the experimentally based Luo-Rudy 1 model of heart tissue in large (8 cm square) domains, we show that a space-time-adaptive time-integration algorithm can achieve a factor of 5 reduction in computational effort and memory-but without a reduction in accuracy-when compared to an algorithm using a uniform space-time mesh at the finest resolution. Our resul...
متن کاملEncircled Energy Factor as a Point-Image Quality-Assessment Parameter
The most important corollary of the Point Spread Function ( ) PSF is the “Encircled Energy Factor” or the “Encircled Power”. It measures the fraction of the total energy in the PSF , which lies within a specified radius ‘δ ’ in the plane of observation or detection. It is one of the significant parameters which serve as an index of the performance of an optical system. The radial distribution o...
متن کاملAn Implicit Difference-ADI Method for the Two-dimensional Space-time Fractional Diffusion Equation
Fractional order diffusion equations are generalizations of classical diffusion equations which are used to model in physics, finance, engineering, etc. In this paper we present an implicit difference approximation by using the alternating directions implicit (ADI) approach to solve the two-dimensional space-time fractional diffusion equation (2DSTFDE) on a finite domain. Consistency, unconditi...
متن کاملExceptional points in quantum and classical dynamics
We notice that, when a quantum system involves exceptional points, i.e. the special values of parameters where the Hamiltonian loses its self-adjointness and acquires the Jordan block structure, the corresponding classical system also exhibits a singular behaviour associated with restructuring of classical trajectories. The system with the crypto-Hermitian Hamiltonian H = (p + z)/2 − igz and hy...
